Christina was right in addressing a work related issue with her mother at the office. Although sometimes it's hard not to bring up at home, trying to keep work related talk in the office is a good practice.

For something this important, we would have recommended that Christina set aside a specific time to speak with her mother about growing the business.
PREPERATION
If Christina wants her mother to take her suggestions seriously, coming prepared with some hard facts and not just feelings would have been a good idea.
PARTIES
Although it is okay to talk to her mother about business ideas, Christina may have been better off involving her father and brother who also have a say in the business. She may have also recieved more support.
