The main difference between Active and Passive owners is the level and frequency at which they participate in ownership activities.

Passive Owners

Receive dividends, stay informed of major decisions and changes

*Don’t forget that there may be non-family owners in the business too, but for the purpose of this unit we will focus on family owners.
