There are many things that can motivate business owners. Some examples are: progress, growth, legacy, harmony, and control. It’s natural for owners to have different motivations, and they may end up competing with each other. This is not a bad thing, as long as owners are on the page about the business’ goals, otherwise conflict can arise.
ProgressMovement towards a goal
GrowthIncreasing the size and operations of the business
LegacyWhat is passed from one generation to the next
ControlThe ability to influence business decisions and direction
HarmonyHaving everyone work together peacefully, towards a common goal
