Let’s practice identifying motivations using the Jenkins family. In the chart, check off what you think are the motivations of each character. Once you have finished, you can do the same thing for members of your own family. Careful you don’t make any assumptions – the only way to know what someone else’s motivations are is to ask them! So take some time to sit down with other owners and find out what motivates them. Then, fill in the chart and see if you think any of the motivations compete with each other. Do you think these could be hindering you from working together towards a common goal?
