In this last segment, we get a sense of the reaction to the pitch and what things will look like for Jill and Ross moving forward!
Ok, that was hard going - but I think we convinced them.
Michael
You did convince them, you guys did good work. That chart you used, showing the building blocks of a business plan was great. Even your uncle was impressed.
Ross
We worked hard. And honestly we haven't asked for too much. The minimum for a start-up, right?
Jill
Do you think they were just being polite? Or do you think they were really, really interested?
Michael
They were really interested. Now, getting everybody on side is important - but you should think beyond that. Our family is a resource. We've got some smart people in the family. Not everybody ...but ... there's some good skills around the table. Now, we’ll know soon enough whether or not this will go ahead – so, what do you two have planned moving forward?
Jill
Well, thanks to the project team, we’re happy to say our research is complete and we have a clear idea of both our competition, and our customers. With this, I feel like we’re to get the first few cars on the lot, and start marketing.
Ross
The team has already put together a promotion plan that we can implement as soon as we have the go-ahead. I think things will start moving pretty quickly!

Michael, just a question: how did it work out? How did the family react to Jill and Ross’s business idea?
Michael
It was a long session - for one thing it wasn't just Jill's idea that was discussed. But I think, for Jill and Ross, it went well. There's resistance but they did a great presentation and that counted for a lot. She knows what she's talking about, what she wants and that counts for a great deal with our group. It looks to me like there will be full buy-in to this idea. It’s time for all of us to start looking to the future of this company, and this family.
