Announcing the Family Enterprise Advisor Designates of 2020
OAKVILLE, ON – October 16, 2020 – Family Enterprise Canada (FEC) is proud to announce the successful certification of 73 Family Enterprise Advisors (FEAs) in 2020. The FEA Program, offered in partnership with three Canadian universities, is a prerequisite to earning the FEA designation which represents the pinnacle of professional expertise in the field of family enterprise advising.
“While the COVID-19 pandemic initially presented challenges to our program delivery, it became the driving force behind our pivot to delivering a completely virtual FEA program,” says Russel Baskin, National Director, Education & Programming at Family Enterprise Canada. “The resilience and commitment our FEA candidates demonstrated while we transitioned online was impressive. We appreciate their flexibility, support and positive feedback.”
The FEA designation helps advisors, including accountants, lawyers, bankers, coaches, insurance, wealth and other professionals, augment their formidable technical skills and showcase their commitment to family enterprises and their ability to bring timely and thoughtful solutions to the family table.
“Our designates report that the FEA Program has led to deeper relationships with their family enterprise clients and a broadened perspective of the issues business families face, including generational transition,” says Russel, “And, today, we congratulate these dedicated professionals who join the ranks of over 400 FEAs in Canada who have achieved the benchmark in family enterprise advising.”
