SEPTEMBER 20, 2023 – As Family Enterprise Canada evolves, we are pleased to announce a new direction in our Board leadership that promises a forceful and capable path forward for our community.
Appointment of Naim Ali as the New Chair of the Board
The Board has appointed Naim Ali to the role of Chair of the Board at Family Enterprise Canada. A renowned leader in family enterprise with extensive experience as the CEO of SM2 Capital Partners, and a dedicated member of our community, Naim is well-positioned to steer our organization toward continued success. We look forward to benefiting from his leadership and commitment.
Gratitude to Susan St. Amand
As we welcome a new era under Naim’s leadership, the Board wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Chair, Susan St. Amand. Susan’s tenure was marked by outstanding achievement, strategic planning, and growth in our community bonds and network. She will continue to offer guidance, wisdom, and support in her new role as the Past Chair of the Board, facilitating a smooth leadership transition.
Welcome to Two New Board Members
The Board is also pleased to introduce Karen Alko and Gerry Meyer as their newest members. Karen, leveraging her role in community relations at ABC Recycling, and Gerry, utilizing his extensive governance and organizational consultancy background with Meyer Advisory Group, will undoubtedly strengthen the Board’s strategic direction with their distinctive expertise.
Continued Leadership of Margaret-Jean Mannix
As exemplified by her commitment and dedicated leadership, Margaret-Jean Mannix will maintain her complimentary roles as the Family Enterprise Foundation Chair and the Family Enterprise Canada Vice-Chair, contributing her knowledge and foresight to steer our organization to a thriving future.
