MacKay CEO Forums and Family Enterprise Canada Launch Strategic Partnership to Support Canada’s Family Business CEOs
New Family Enterprise Memberships will combine confidential peer learning with specialized family enterprise expertise.
VANCOUVER, BC — MacKay CEO Forums and Family Enterprise Canada (FEC) are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership designed to better support the unique needs of Canada’s family business CEOs, Presidents, and Owners.
Together, the organizations are launching a new category of peer groups and memberships focused specifically on family-owned and multi-generational enterprises. The initiative will combine MacKay CEO Forums’ high-impact peer learning model with the specialized expertise and national network of Family Enterprise Canada.
Family-owned enterprises represent a significant majority of private businesses in Canada and play a critical role in the country’s economy, employment, innovation, and long-term community investment. Yet many family business CEOs face challenges that differ substantially from those of non-family enterprises, including succession planning, family governance, intergenerational leadership transitions, ownership dynamics, and balancing family relationships with business performance.
The new Family Enterprise Memberships will provide a confidential peer environment specifically designed to address these realities.
As part of the collaboration:
- New MacKay x FEC peer groups will be created specifically for family business CEOs, Presidents, and Owners
- All Forum Chairs leading these groups will hold the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation
- Members will gain access to both the MacKay CEO Forums peer-learning experience and Family Enterprise Canada membership
- The organizations will collaborate on thought leadership, events, educational initiatives, and community-building opportunities
“Family businesses are some of the most resilient and values-driven organizations in Canada, but they also navigate a unique set of leadership complexities,” said Nancy MacKay, Founder & CEO of MacKay CEO Forums. “This partnership allows us to bring together trusted peer support and specialized family enterprise expertise in a way that we believe will create tremendous value for CEOs across the country.”
“This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping family enterprises thrive across generations,” said Steve Beauchesne, CEO of Family Enterprise Canada. “By combining the strengths of both organizations, we are creating a powerful platform for learning, connection, and long-term leadership development.”
The new offering will roll out nationally beginning in Summer 2026, with additional announcements related to membership opportunities, Forum Chairs, and events to follow.
