Canada’s history of settlement and colonization has resulted in a multicultural society made up of many racial and ethnic groups. It follows that, as FEAs, we need to pay attention to the powerful influence culture plays, including traditions, values, thinking and behaviors, especially as family enterprises expand beyond the home culture of the founders. This article explores the traits of the three major global cultures and offers insights on effectively blending cultures within family enterprises to optimize transitions across generations.
